Nature and Lousios route
Three genuinely different ways to experience the landscape around Dimitsana.
Choose one level rather than mixing unrelated stops. For the easiest option, stay around the Open-Air Water Power Museum and Kefalari Ai-Yianni. For a proper but shorter hike, the official Dimitsana–Zygovisti section is 4.2 km, about 2 hours and moderate. For a full hiking day through the Lousios monastery landscape, Stemnitsa–Dimitsana is 12.5 km, about 5 hours and difficult.

Easy option: Water Power Museum and Kefalari
Stay around the museum and Kefalari Ai-Yianni for running water, dense vegetation and restored water-powered workshops without committing to a gorge hike.
Moderate option: Dimitsana–Zygovisti
The official Menalon Trail section is 4.2 km, about 2 hours and difficulty 2/5. It starts in Dimitsana, passes near the Library and Agia Paraskevi, and climbs towards the outskirts of the fir forest.
Difficult option: Stemnitsa–Dimitsana
The official section is 12.5 km, about 5 hours and difficulty 4/5. It passes Prodromos Monastery, the Old and New Philosophou monasteries, crosses the Lousios landscape and approaches Dimitsana by the Water Power Museum area.
