Dimitsana and the Filiki Eteria

It places Dimitsana inside the underground networks that prepared the Greek Revolution.
On the eve of 1821, Dimitsana figures—including Germanos of Old Patras, the Spiliotopoulos family and others—were inducted into the Filiki Eteria. Owing to its powder-making, the town is said to have been collectively aligned with the secret society.
