Schools and Library reorganization
Educational buildings around Agia Kyriaki are reorganized in 1934 through the Makris Bequest.
Why it matters
It connects architecture, education and benefaction in the modern civic core of Dimitsana.
In 1934, the educational spaces around Agia Kyriaki were reorganized. The two schools were merged through the Makris Bequest, while rooms of the old Greek School were assigned to the Primary School and the Library.
This event complements the same year’s Clock Tower milestone and shows how the civic center of Dimitsana was shaped by education, benefaction and public memory.
