Dimitsana Stories – Digital App

Dimitsana Stories is a digital cultural application that invites visitors to explore the village through stories, routes, photographs, and oral testimonies. The app was developed by Encodica and is available on Android through Google Play.

The project draws on anthropological research and the book by Ioannis Drinis, Dimitsana: Transformations and Representations of Space in a Mountain Community (ARS NOVA, 2020), along with oral histories recorded during the Dimitsana Summer School and photographs from the archive of the Dimitsana Interconference & Cultural Center.

Its value lies in the way it connects place with voice. Buildings, streets, routes, and local practices are presented not only as points on a map, but as lived spaces shaped by memory, everyday life, and community narration.
