Dimitsana Featured in AdventureWeek Peloponnese 2026

Dimitsana was among the key Arcadian stops of AdventureWeek Peloponnese 2026, a multi-day familiarization programme dedicated to outdoor tourism, sustainable travel, and adventure experiences across the Peloponnese.

The initiative brought selected tour operators, travel media, and content creators to the region, with routes that highlighted the Lousios landscape, mountain settlements, trails, monasteries, local culture, and nature-based activities. Dimitsana’s position above the Lousios Gorge makes it a natural gateway for visitors interested in walking routes, heritage, and slow travel.

The programme followed wider cooperation between the Region of Peloponnese, the Greek National Tourism Organization, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association, aiming to strengthen the international profile of the Peloponnese as a destination for responsible adventure tourism.
