School Bullying Awareness Event in Dimitsana

The Open-Air Water Power Museum in Dimitsana hosted an awareness event on school violence and bullying, organized by the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) in cooperation with the Hellenic Police.

The event took place around the World Day Against School Violence and Bullying and included separate sessions for students and the wider public. Police Lieutenant B Dimitrios Panagopoulos presented the forms that bullying can take, the warning signs, and ways in which students, parents, teachers, and communities can respond early and responsibly.

The programme also used cinema as a tool for dialogue, with a screening of the Belgian film Un Monde (“Playground”), encouraging participants to discuss how violence can appear in everyday school life and how silence can be broken.
